Introduction: The post holder will be part of a large team who under the direction of the Switchroom supervisor will be responsible for delivering the highest standards of customer service to our clients both internal and external. The role is primarily that of telephonist, however the post holder will be expected to perform administration and
Facsimile duties and a degree of flexibility is expected.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Operates an automated switchboard and directory under general supervision, connecting and receiving local national and international calls.
Gives high standard of customer service and quality care.
Performs other work as assigned e.g. Fax, clerical and administration tasks.
Informs supervision of any ad-hoc amendments required to ensure electronic directory is kept accurate and up to date.
Must be prepared to follows strict guidelines and procedures.
Works to a rota of 7 hour shifts between 07.30 – 19.00.
Must be naturally polite and friendly.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
Good oral and written communication skills.
Experience on a busy multi position electronic switchboard.
Must have worked as part of a large team.
Experience of large switchroom environment with strict disciplines.
Must possess excellent customer care skills.
Must be flexible and professional and be prepared to assist with overtime when required.
Two/three year’s previous experience preferred.
General
Shift working will be required
Rota – 07.30 – 19.00
A degree of flexibility will be required during busy periods and to cover sickness and Vacation.
